What happened to the old web site?

I fall in the category of artists that are always unhappy with their work. Once I complete something I have better ideas for the next one.
Go Figure!?!

--- About Me ---------

There has been no other art form that has inspired me more than the art of photography. The challenge of capturing the beauty of this world with a single photograph... has captured me.

It has been over five years that I picked up my fathers old SLR camera to finally learn how to use it. My story is like so many others, "once I picked it up, I never put it down". However, I did put it down, but I exchanged it for a digital one.
The technology fit me better. I couldn't afford a darkroom and I also didn't have an extra room. Well, I could have choked over the fumes and lived in a cave to have the darkroom in my bedroom, but I wasn't as crazy as my friend. I had a computer, so there you go.
My focus on landscape photography was mainly due to the influences of Ansel Adams. For one I related to the landscape art form because I grew up in Lake Tahoe, but also because I am shy. I have a hard time photographing people. I feel like a common mans paparazzi whenever I feel influenced by the situation of street photography. Landscapes don't have that 'give me your camera so I can break it' mentality. Although they do have an unspoken struggle.
So many times I have come home from a shoot with 'just missed the mark' images. It is just so frustrating, but that is what makes photography so unpredictable and exciting.
Every shoot is different, every shoot holds a certain struggle, every shoot is inspiring, but most importantly...
every shoot is fun.
